By now, you’ve probably seen Chevrolet’s newest commercials, announcing Siri Eyes Free integration and 4G LTE wifi in several new car models. As an iconic American car manufacturer, Chevy is recognizing the importance of evolving with the newest technologies in order to better serve its increasingly larger, technologically-savvy demographic. People want to be able to interact with their phones while driving; people want to be able to check their email, social networks, and online accounts without eating into their precious cellular data plans; and most importantly, people recognize the significance of doing all of these things without endangering themselves or others while operating large machinery.

The fact that Chevy is taking the initiative to incorporate its autos into the “Internet of Things” is a major step for the auto industry and the movement of older brands into a space largely populated by the Googles and Teslas of the world.

As we become more connected to our homes, devices, and vehicles, Chevy is getting a leg-up on the competition with mobile integration.

If you haven’t yet seen the commercials announcing these features, take a look at the ones below.
